Transport.

The transport of transformers requires a special treatment due to the dimensions that transformers can reach.

Once the transformer tests have been carried out in our laboratories, the preparation for the transport begins.

The preparation lies in leaving the indivisible piece of the transformer in a set whose weight and dimensions allow its transport up to destination, having always into account that the access to installations must be the adequate to allow the circulation of both the transport truck and the unloading truck.

All the transformer’s dismantled accessories, such as radiators, oil conservative deposit, oil, bushings and others, are packed and sent by auxiliary trucks.

OASA is prepared to carry out the fitting-out of the accessories for the transport by land as well as by sea, in which special packings will be used.

Assembly, assembly supervision and commissioning.

A transformer assembly needs to be done by qualified personnel. That’s why OASA offers our clients a team of assembly technicians and commissioning service supervisors.

Complete Assembly.

In this modality OASA provides the personnel and the complete means for the carrying out of the assembly.

Assembly Supervision.

In this modality OASA will send a technician for the carrying out of the assembly and the client will contribute the means (filters, electrical supply, etc.) and the necessary auxiliary help personnel.

Commissioning.

In this modality OASA will send a technician who will do the necessary checkings so as to be able to proceed to the commissioning of the transformer.

Repairs.

OASA repairs its transformers. Depending on the type of incident, repairs can be done both in field and in our San Sebastian's installations.

The repair process, done in our installations as well as in field, follows the same procedures of quality control used for the manufacture of new transformers.

Maintenances

Among other services that OASA usually gives its clients, there is the maintenance of transformers.

Among different works that are done in these maintenances, these are some of them:

• Checking of escapes existence, correcting them in that case
• Checking of oils levels, replacing if necessary.
• Checking of Buchholz alarms and shots, thermometers, magnetic level …
• Inspection of the power transformer local boards, checking protections and the correct work of fans.
• Paint retouches.
• Diagnosis of the transformer state through the oil analysis (physical, chemical and dissolved gas analysis).
• Electrical isolation.
• Periodic inspections of on load tap changers.
• Carrying out of capacity measurement tests and tg δ.
• Carrying out of FRA tests.
